first impressions

An entryway is like a wedding invitation. It's a tiny glimpse of the style that is soon to be experienced. It is the first impression. The interior entrance is what gets people excited and curious to see the rest of your home. Greet your guests with a statement whether it's a big rug with a neat pattern, wallpaper, a great console table, lamp(s), art, or extra seating.
Just because you decide to use wallpaper doesn't mean the accessories have to be bland. Just remember to make sure things are balanced within the busyness of the wallpaper. Balancing lamps or chairs is an easy way to bring a room together. But if you desire something more eclectic...mix and match lamps, chairs and pillows!

Multiplying mirrors is a great DIY artwork not to mention mirrors make spaces feel bigger!
I am loving these frameless mirrors!

Very balanced yet fun.

This entryway is practical. It stores books, displays pictures and is the holding place for a handbag.
Did you see that the stairs don't have rails on both sides?? Yikes! That could be a problem for several different reasons.

  1. I think that you should consider being an interior decorator. :)
