current decor favorites

As I am starting to accessorize our home, I am beginning to pay a lot more attention to lamps, light fixture, mirrors, frames etc. i love it. I love the endless creativity that can take place whether you are buying a fabulous lamp brand new or have found a vintage piece that needs a little tlc.

these some styles of lamps i have been looking at for our master bedroom night stands and one for our dresser

seating in front of your bed...i love this look. instantly adds a feeling of coziness.

first off, love the window arch and the built in shelving.
This room is designed well. It looks effortless but so put together without feeling ridiculously expensive. It feels like each piece of furniture has a story. In my opinion this is the key to designing a beautiful room. Each piece should be different yet somehow relate to other pieces in the room in DIFFERENT ways. For example: the wooden bench and the night stand have a cohesiveness. they were probably not bought at mathis brothers furniture. They are different enough to be interesting without being too matchy matchy and boring.

or how about going all of with a love seat in front of your bed!

  1. ehh i don't care for the love seats...but i love the other ideas.

The first picture you talked about is way tooooo busy for me. But all the other bedrooms, i LOVE. I really like the arch window one with built in shelves.
