This is What I Wore

Sometimes when I have extra time, I like to document what I am wearing. For memory sake and just for fun. My friend Traci always posts what she is wearing on instagram and it's just fun seeing how other people style themselves for work. I'll be honest, I used to feel kind of weird about taking pictures of myself and posting them..anyone else feel that way? Now, I just think it's fun to show what I am wearing these days.

The two left photos are what I wore to work last week and actually, the bottom right photo was from "wear your collegiate colors to work day". Boomer Sooner!

On another note* To spice things up a bit, I have been trying to mix patterns for something unexpected...Like leopard and polka dots. So far, I like it.

Bedroom Inspiration

I love the layout of furniture in this room. I think I prefer brighter colors than what this room displays but I love the tall lamps, images above the bed and larger nightstands. Definitely a source of inspiration for me!

Tacos...Lettuce Wrap Style

Happy Friday! Made a new recipe a couple nights ago. So easy, quick and healthy...my ideal recipe. Really, it's just a basic taco recipe but I used lettuce instead of taco shells...healthier and cheaper!

Once I cooked the ground beef on medium/high heat on stove, I drained the grease and added taco seasoning, small can of green chiles for an extra kick and then once I put the meat mixture in the lettuce wrap (just a regular head of lettuce!), I added a bit of cheese, light sour cream, salsa and olives. Yummers!

What are your go to recipes this summer?

Kitchen Inspiration: Greige

Happy Thursday, Lovelies! I don't know about your neck of the woods, but Oklahoma hit 111 degrees today Unbearable. With this weather, all I want to do is stay inside. With not much to do, I bought a can of paint and decided to give my living room a face lift (pictures to come soon). I am loving using gray as a neutral right now and today we have a fabulous guest post talking about just that! Enjoy!

Hello, my name is Joanna. I'm a blogger for Design Shuffle, a premier online source for everything interior design. On the site, designers from around the globe show their work while design lovers get to enjoy fine interior design images. Today, I bring you the most beautiful greige kitchens. Thanks to Blogging with Taylor for letting me share! Greige is one of the newer neutrals we are loving right now. Not quite gray and not quite beige, it's an in between shade (a mix of both) that translates well with many styles and decors. It gives the illusion of being unfinished and weathered. The kitchen is a terrific place for greige, giving both a rustic and elegant feel. Take a look at some of our favorite greige kitchens below. Hopefully you find some greige decorating ideas you hadnĂt thought of. Greige Kitchen A traditional kitchen boasts kitchen cabinets in greige. The contrast between the crisp white and moody greige looks terrific. Greige Kitchen Walls of greige provide a nice backdrop for this eat-in kitchen. The wood floors warm the space. So many kitchen design ideas fill this inviting room. Greige Kitchen Greige finds a home in a traditional butler's pantry. The mirrored inset looks classy and refined. Greige Kitchen The silver dinnerware and white china fit nicely with greige cabinetry. The stainless counter top is unexpected and a more modern than the rest of the space. Greige Kitchen Dining room design ideas flow from this room. Greige looks quite at home in this eclectic design. Love the harvest table in the shade too. Greige Kitchen We see a hint of greige on the modern cabinets in this contemporary space. The wicker set against the modern dining table provides a nice contrast. Does this room inspire any interior design ideas? Greige Kitchen Sleek modern cabinetry gets a taste of striated greige. I think the color looks just as nice in a modern setting as it does in a traditional. Greige Kitchen A greige island anchors this industrial style kitchen. The color is carried through the space to the windows beyond. Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 What are your thoughts on greige?
