Dining Room Inspiration: Neutrals

Hi blog friends! It's been far too long. I recently got a new job and have been busy learning learning learning! All that to say, I am really loving my new job so forgive me for my absence in the blog world.

I moved into my little house almost two and half years ago. I was color crazy and painted every room a different color. As my style is changing, I am slowly looking into redoing my kitchen, dining and den area to reflect a more sophisticated style. I have been doing a lot of inspiration searching and have found that I am loving soft neutrals with bold accents in light fixtures, bold patterns for the rugs and upholstery and just a few pops of color here and there.

The images above are a small collection I started on Pinterest. At first glance I love the black+white striped rug and the black round pendant light fixture. I am also loving the gray/tan walls and am very smitten with those upholstered chairs. My walls are currently Martha Stewart Blue. So this will be a big change.

I typically turn to Pottery Barn for fabulous light fixtures. But, I am not in love with the prices and surprisingly I haven't found much. I also really like Overstock for light fixtures ($2.95 shipping!!). I got this one for my bedroom. Here's what I've found recently to reflect pendant light fixtures:

I am definitely having a hard time deciding between two different styles: modern chic or pottery barn modern. Oh the decisions. I'll let you know what I decide on!

Have a lovely weekend!
