Have you ever been to London? If so, did you ever go into Marks and Spencer? It's like a department store but way better. They have gourmet ready made lunches, a full grocery store and the cutest home and gift items! It's a fun little place to browse through (and eat lunch!) if you are ever in London.

This is the artist I would commission if I wanted a custom painting. I love the work of Michelle Armas. Her colorful spin on abstract art is so lovely and eye catching. 

Fresh Decor

You all know I love a cheerful color palette but lately I've been craving quite design, mostly in the home. There is something about these photos... the lighting, lack of a color palette and the open quality that draw me in to loving these spaces. There is nothing stuffy or overly upscale, just simple and quite. Sounds perfect to me.

Three Things

Happy Monday! Did you all have a good weekend? I did. It was full of good friends, food, drinks and maybe a little bit of dancing. 

Here are just a few things that I am loving:

The weather has been uh-mazing so I've been getting to wear lots of dresses and skirts that I haven't seen in a while. It's bittersweet, really. I love wearing warm weather clothing but in February, my skin is less than ready for dresses and skirts. That's where my favorite self tanner comes in handy. I have had really great luck with Loreal Sublime. My friend, Sarah, said Victoria's Secret has a great self tanner, too! Do you all have any favorites that you recommend?

I am really into big costume jewelry pieces right now including this fun Kate Spade Bow Ring. I can't get enough of it. I wear it nearly everyday. Yes,  its huge and awesome.

Lastly, I love a good weekend filled with friends and fun times. Jacquelyn's birthday was this weekend. So much fun!

Sweet Spaces

How lovely are these rooms? I love them both for two completely different reasons. Yet they both evoke creativity and imagination, which is something I want to try to pass on to my little babes someday.

Though these are both kids rooms, I love the idea of creating inspiring spaces within our homes. Both of these spaces hold so much color and pattern (both bold and delicate). It makes me want to add a bit more inspiration into my home.

I am completely inspired by color and pattern. I'll admit, there's a lot of it in my home.

My New Kicks

I couldn't pass up these little cuties this weekend at F21. A: Love a little vintage inspired floral B: The price wasn't too shabby, either. I wore them out Sunday to run errands paired with some dark skinny jeans and a simple fitted white tee.  I think I'm going to get the pink pair too.

Sorry for the little blogging break yesterday. It's been a busy week! I am back now and ready to talk about fun things like....this coverup by Nanette Lepore. It's so absolutely girly and I love it.

B Mine: Kate Spade Valentines

I am so smitten with these sweet Kate Spade Valentine's Day E-Cards. 

I made my own Valentines yesterday!! I couldn't decide whether or not to create them on the computer or go completely craft crazy with doilies, sequins and glitter glue. I chose the computer. But, that doesn't mean I won't add a little DIY touch with some glitter :) I haven't sent out vday cards since 5th grade but this year I work at a stationery company, we've been talking about Valentine's Day since before Christmas...how could I not design my own Valentines and send them out to my favorite people! :)

I have a major style crush on Blair of Atlantic-Pacific. I love how she dresses with effortless layers, accessorizes like crazy and really plays with texture to create maximum visual interest. Love love love!

House Beautiful March 2011

My long awaited Christmas present to myself has finally arrived! What a perfect way to start the weekend! 

House Beautiful definitely got word that the pantone color of the year was pink! The entire issue is decked out in the cheerful hue and to nicely compliment this months issue, they used NarzissSwirls typeface. So fun. I get just as excited about a magazines layout+typestyle selections as I do about the actual content in the mag. It's what 5 years of design classes will do to you.

While being snowed in I...

While being snowed in I...did some online shopping, of course! And I bought nail polish..such a random purchase.  My main goal was to find a good medium gray tone. Then, I went color crazy, I can't help it. I am addicted to color.  Now, the only reason I let myself buy nail polish online was because I found some crazy prices! Typically these little jars of loveliness cost $8 each at Ulta. Not on amazon! They were $3 and $4! (new bottles, not used ones ha!) Also, I really like Essie brand. You should try it.

Do you have any good gray nail polish suggestions? I need some recommendations here!

Fun Romper & Summer Wedges!

Happy Friday!

There is currently a nice amount of snow+ice still on the ground and all I can think about is spring and summer. I am not made for winter and to make matters worse, all of my snow gear is in colorado. No fun! So, in the mean time I wish I was wearing this adorable romper from modcloth and these super awesome wedges from anthro. 

Is anyone else so excited to wear rompers this summer? gosh, they are my absolute favorite.

**Also, today is my moms birthday!** Happy Birthday Mom! I wish I could spend the day taking you out to lunch and going shopping :)

Homemade Pizza

 

I am on day 2 of being snowed in. So, that means lots of movies, online shopping and yummy cooking. 

I don't mind one single bit! Last night, I made my favorite pizza in the whole world. Alfredo pizza. I went to Italy two summers ago and fell in love with pizza blanco {alfredo pizza} and have tried to recreate it since returning. This is the closest I have come..Now I am sure it would taste a million times better with homemade crust and someday I will attempt to make the crust..but right now I am fine with pillsbury crust. 

What are your homemade pizza secrets? Have any good homemade crust recipes?!?
