I had the pleasure of designing these fun little save the date postcards the other day at my work, English Paper Company. You can tell by the photographs that the couple is so fun and playful! They are going with an "h&m" theme which is so sweet and unique to them as a couple.

Happy Monday! Over the weekend I got to skype with my favorite friend in Barcelona, Diana,  and she showed me these oh so fun illustrations by Sol Linero. You should look at her website pronto. Sol's use of color will instantly make your day better, promise!

Ok, it is miserably freezing here right now and this chicken tortilla soup from the pioneer woman looks uh-mazing. I think I am going to make this tomorrow evening or sometime this week. yum yum!

Super Cool Recipe Cards

Before Christmas, I made these little recipe cards at work. All the girls at work submitted a few of their favorite recipes and then we gave them to everyone as a fun little present to put in their recipe boxes!

I went with a colorful yet dark{er} color palette, leaning more towards colors that reminded me of autumn. The back of the cards are simply for taking notes or adding more directions. 

Love the way they turned out! Modern, clean and colorful!

Jessica & Shaun's Fiesta Save the Dates

I was super excited when Jessi contacted me about designing her fiesta inspired save the dates. Jessi and Shaun are such a fun couple (ie their engagement photos!!) so our goal was to tie some playfulness into their save the dates by incorporating a bold, exciting color palette and fun flower illustrations. seems as though adding a "g" wasn't a good idea.

It seems that adding a "g" to the end of "blogging with taylor" wasn't the best idea ever. I think some of you all have had a hard time finding my blog since I changed it, especially if you keep it saved in your browser. SO, we're back to "bloggin". Sorry for the confusion!...Now I know if I make any major changes in the future, I'll give you all a good advanced notice!

Yep, you guessed it. I bought myself house beautiful magazine for TWO whole years as a Christmas gift. Oh my goodness. This will really help me get a jump start on completeing my house as one of my {2011 resolutions!} One of my favorite things to do on the weekend is to sit down with a hot cup of coffee and read magazines and design blogs. It totally re-energizes me with inspiration for work and freelance design. I can't wait for HB to arrive in my mail box in just a few short weeks!

I also may have gotten a little too excited about buying myself gifts...because then I may have bought some Tory Burch Emmy Sandles...

Ok, they were on sale..how could I pass them up? And, who wouldn't want a shoe with their initials on them? :)

Oh, blog friends! I changed my url from "bloggin with taylor" to "blogging with taylor". I really don't have any idea why it was ever "bloggin" but should you not be able to find blogging with taylor, just add a "g" to "bloggin"!

Good Morning! I thought I'd share a lovely view with you from Breckenridge as I am browsing the www and waiting for my family members to wake up (having a real job where I am used to waking up early each morning + 1 hour time change makes me wake up REALLY EARLY) while my college sibling is used to sleeping in. So, while I wait I am reading design blogs and sharing a pretty picture with you, I don't mind.

Oh, and it is a warm -3 here today. Yikes! We're planning on skiing today...lets just hope my hot pink long underwear are as practical as they are cute! :)

Happy Monday + Some Logo Love

Happy Monday Friends! I am enjoying some much needed down time in Breckenridge BUT I wanted to share some logo love that I found. Considering I am a graphic designer, I should do some more graphic related design posts, don't you think? I think so. So, maybe that'll be my {twenty eleven} resolution!

So, here is my first graphic related post of the year. I stumbled upon this fun little blog called Take Sunset. It is a guide to great architecture and dining in Los Angeles. Super neat. But, what caught my attention the most was their logo. I have been really into clean and simple illustrations and I just can't help but go crazy over Take Sunset's identity. It's modern, simple but oh so visually interesting. I am going to try to find out the name of the designer who created this logo...I'll let you know what I come up with.

Happy New Year blog friends! I haven't made my 2011 resolution yet. Last year it was to take more pictures-- didn't happen. What is/are your new years resolutions? I promise to be back blogging {almost} everyday! :) I have lots of fun projects that I've designed to show you all.

I suppose a good goal {resolution} for the year could be to finish decorating my house. I am about 1/2 way there. Just purchases this lovely headboard from west elm...talk about a statement!
